Select Image File from the list of options When taking digital notes in Samsung Notes on my phone or tablet, I can use the Share function coupled Notion to get my handwritten notes into Notion.įrom within Samsung Notes tap the More button (three vertical dots) and select the Share icon I’ve been struggling to find a way to connect my use of handwritten digital notes and Notion without creating an exceptional amount of additional work. One feature Notion sorely lacks is any native support of digital ink. I’ve been using Notion increasingly to manage several different projects and relationships as of late. That said though recently there has been a dilemma for me. ![]() Now if you’ve followed any of my content, you’ll know I’m a fan of digital notetaking especially when it uses digital ink. I find my handwritten notes in the Rocketbook scan better into legible text than screen writing, and is much faster than on screen keyboard. In Samsung’s Unpacked event today, they spent a surprising amount of time talking about Samsung Notes, their digital notetaking software. The rocket book let's me scan the ones I need to keep long term and wash the pages clean of ones that are no longer needed. I used to fill paper notebooks and threw away most of the pages after a few days. I also have a Rocket book which allows me to take handwritten notes and scan the ones I want into Onenote folders. I should say though that I using this in a business environment, not school. This does require me to spend some time every few days deciding which notes to move VS delete, but it has worked well for me. Haven't determined which I like better yet, although again, Samsung is better with Spen written notes). Notes that are important to keep long term, I manage with Onenote in Windows (either browser or thick client), quick notes with limited life-span I leave in Keep or Samsung notes until I delete them (I keep moving back and forth between Keep and Samsung. I find that Onenote is great for organizing, finding, and viewing notes, but on Android I either take the notes in Google Keep or Samsung Notes (more in Samsung since I got a Fold because it handles handwriting with the Spen well and syncs them to one note). I just switched to Notes, Reminders, Calendar and Mail it more polished option event hough i would love to use OneNote and other MS apps but not yet. In the mean time Samsung Notes will be my choice. Looks like Microsoft is working on the new version how we dont know when it will be out. its much easier to mutitask with it and do research. bottom like Samsung Notes more polished and well integrated into system. Im sure i can find more little quirks here and there. (it works on the phone but not tablet version)ģ - no sticky notes integration - available on the phone for quick notes.Ĥ - if you using Samsung internet + Samsung Notes you can drag and drop text, images split screen, this doesn't work in OneNotes even with Edge Browser.ĥ - you cannot send/save a website from a browser to a particular Note that you already have going. ![]() what is made me to switch away from it isġ - when you using Physical Keyboard like Samsung Keyboard cover there is no spell checkĢ - if you using s-pen you cannot select text with it only with your finger. OneNote is OK for note taking if you have it on your phone that is pretty much what you gonna get. I have so many notes in One Note too however I slowly switched to Samsung Notes.
